Are you visiting Sedona? In addition to having a fascinating and expert past life regression with world renowned author and teacher, Mary Elizabeth Raines, here are a few things that might interest you!
THE THREE DISTINCT PARTS OF SEDONA
Be aware that while each section looks close on the map of Sedona, it can take a good deal of time to get from one part of our beautiful city to another, depending upon the time of day and number of tourists. The map also does not show hills, some of which are significant. Good news: even if traffic is heavy, you get some of the best views on the planet! Above find the link to a map showing all three parts.
1. UPTOWN
This is the northwest part of Sedona, the most commercial side, full of all sorts of pricey shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions, a place visited by bus tours. If you like mingling with crowds, this is where to go!
2. WEST SEDONA
Branching down from Uptown on Highway 89A, you will find West Sedona. It is a little calmer than Uptown, but still has plenty of restaurants, shops, and hotels. The movie theaters are here. Traveling several miles down 89A you will find our beautiful performing arts center, attached to the high school.
3. THE VILLAGE OF OAK CREEK (V.O.C.)
Branching down from Uptown is Highway 179. While what locals call “the village”is not technically part of the city, we still consider it Sedona. This has some of the most popular red rock hiking trails, and has a different vibe from West Sedona, along with the ubiquitous restaurants, shops, and lodging.
HIKING IN SEDONA
Sedona is a hiker’s paradise! We have grown more popular in recent years, so expect to have company on your hikes.

EATING IN SEDONA
There are SO MANY restaurants in Sedona for every kind of taste! Here are just a few we love (and yes, we have left out many other GREAT restaurants!):
The Chocola Tree
~100% organic, hippie, funkie, beautiful outdoor area, well liked by locals
PumpHouse Station
~Really good food with interesting vegetarian options, nice ambiance but not too formal, pleasant outdoor area,
Mariposa
~Latin-inspired. If you sit outdoors, you will have the best views of any restaurant in Sedona, pricey, elegant.
The Wildflower Bread Company
~For a more relaxed place to eat. Stand in line to order. Pretty good food and not as expensive as most places. Gorgeous stained-glass sculpture in the dining room, and a few outdoor tables with those fabulous Sedona views.
SHOPPING IN SEDONA
Everywhere you go, you will find interesting stores!
For a unique shopping experience, go to a delightful southwestern village of unique shops, art galleries, and restaurants, called Tlaquepaque.
PARKING
Tourism everywhere is popular, and that includes Sedona. Be prepared for some traffic congestion. Where to park in Sedona
THE INEXPENSIVE ECO WAY TO GET AROUND SEDONA
Great news: you can have a shuttle pick you up and take you to many local destinations for only a few dollars!

THINGS TO DO A LITTLE OUTSIDE SEDONA
Montezuma’s Castle
~Located about 35 minutes from Sedona. Ancient Native American Village built into a cliff wall, with a museum and pleasant short walking paths, perfect for young children or people whose bodies are not up to hiking on mountain paths.
Trail Horse Adventure
~About 20 minutes from Sedona. Horseback rides for the whole family through beautiful settings of nature.
Old Town Cottonwood
~Cottonwood is about a 25-minute drive from Sedona. You can stroll for a few blocks through this part of Cottonwood with interesting shops and some good restaurants.
Jerome
~A once thriving mountain mining town turned ghost town about 45 minutes outside of–and above!–Sedona. Do visit the funky old mining museum at the top of Jerome, with lots of old rusty equipment and walking paths. There are the usual shops, galleries, and restaurants, along with some purportedly haunted spots & a former bordello. This is a mountain town, however, so the streets are very steep; be forewarned that you will get a good workout.
Verde Canyon Railroad
~This four-hour train ride, about 40 minutes from Sedona, takes you through gorgeous wilderness with mountains, some ancient ruins, and a breathtaking canyon with a creek and foliage. Every car has both indoor seating and an outdoor car behind it, as well as more “luxurious” cars. Don’t bother to pay high prices. You will want to be outdoors the whole time to see the spectacular views. Be aware, however, that they pipe in music during the entire ride, both indoors AND outdoors. It is unavoidable, and it may or may not be to your taste. If you are sensitive/selective about music, bring earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones…and enjoy the view!
HYPNOSIS IN SEDONA
~Want hypnosis to get rid of unwanted habits or mindsets like smoking, overeating? Empower yourself? Gain Confidence? Connect to a higher source for answers? Improve a sport or talent? Relax? Book a hypnosis session today with Sedona’s most experienced and popular hypnotist, Mary Elizabeth Raines, author & hypotherapy instructor, who has been practicing hypnosis for over half a century!
PSYCHIC READINGS IN SEDONA
~We strongly recommend avoiding the walk-in psychic readings offered in several shops and resorts, which do not always employ accurate or top-level readers (the shops take most ofthe profit), and instead book such a session privately. The best psychics are popular, so you will need to make your appointment in advance. After you have set up and confirmed your past life regression with Mary Elizabeth Raines, ask us who we recommend for a psychic reading. Another option, as with past life regression, is to have your session over the phone when you are back home.
